Painted by local Harford resident Maxine Pendry in February 1985, inspired by the original work of Norman Rockwell. The lettering was crafted by Renita Richards Hall.
In a unique twist, Maxine replaced Robin Hood with ‘Rip Van Winkle’ by the tree in this piece, putting her own creative spin on a classic. Maxine, a talented artist and beloved community member, passed away in 2012, but her legacy lives on through her art.
Thank you, Maxine, for this beautiful tribute.
